26 Jul 2026 - 10 Aug 2026
(16 days)
Embark on a 1,150 NM magical sailing experience from Fiji to spend several days cruising the pristine and diverse islands of Vanuatu. The archipelago's volcanic islands, fringed by extensive coral reefs and tranquil lagoons, create a perfect playground for sailors, snorkelers, and divers. On a sailing trip, you can explore dramatic volcanic landscapes and secluded anchorages, from the bustling harbors of Efate to the rugged outer islands. The clear, warm waters are a diver's paradise, home to World War II relics like the SS President Coolidge shipwreck and Million Dollar Point, as well as vibrant coral gardens and an abundance of marine life. Beyond diving and snorkeling, visitors can enjoy kayaking through serene blue holes hidden in the jungle, stand-up paddleboarding on glassy lagoons, or deep-sea fishing for marlin and tuna. Each island offers a unique coastal experience, blending the thrill of a sailing adventure with the tranquil beauty and rich culture of Vanuatu's "happiest people on earth."

What to Expect: Fiji to Vanuatu
From Bula Spirit to Volcanic Wonders
The voyage from Fiji to Vanuatu is a true transition between two worlds. You’ll leave behind the white-sand luxury of the Mamanuca and Yasawa islands and sail westward into the rugged, prehistoric landscapes of Vanuatu. This is a journey for those who want to see the Earth in its most primal, powerful state.
Life on Board
The Daily Rhythm
Who is this for?
The Navigator’s Path: This passage is a classic westward run. As part of the active crew, you’ll help manage the yacht as we harness the reliable Southeast Trade Winds. You’ll learn the art of "downwind sailing," mastering the use of the pole or reaching sails as we slide across the deep blue of the Melanesian Basin.
Adventure Seamanship: Under the mentorship of our professional skipper, you’ll be involved in everything from weather routing to helming during night watches. There is no better feeling than the yacht surging forward under a blanket of stars, days away from the nearest coastline.
Expedition Comfort: While the sailing is adventurous, life on our 70ft yacht remains grounded in good food and great company. You’ll share stories over sundowners and enjoy fresh meals prepared with ingredients from Fiji’s vibrant local markets.
At Sea: The 3-to-4 day passage across the Fiji Sea is a time to truly disconnect. You’ll settle into the watch system, develop your "sea legs," and keep a sharp lookout for pods of pilot whales and playful oceanic dolphins that frequently escort the boat.
The Arrival (Vanuatu): Landfall in Vanuatu is unforgettable. We’ll navigate toward the island of Tanna or Efate, where the scent of woodsmoke and tropical forest greets us before we even see the shore.
Exploration: Once at anchor, the focus shifts to the land. You may find yourself standing on the rim of Mount Yasur, an active volcano, or diving into the "Blue Holes" of Santo—crystal-clear freshwater springs hidden deep in the jungle.
This leg is for the thrill-seeker. It is perfect for sailors looking to gain serious offshore experience on a manageable 4-day passage, and for travelers who prefer volcanoes over resorts. If you’ve ever wanted to witness the raw power of nature while being part of a professional sailing team, this is your voyage.
