26 Oct 2026 - 13 Nov 2026
(18 days)
Embark on a 1,430 NM cruise of the secluded and adventurous paradise of Micronesia for several days before sailing to Palau to spend several days exploring the amazing Rock Islands. Micronesia's low-lying coral atolls and dramatic volcanic islands are surrounded by some of the clearest waters on Earth. Palau's coastline is a masterpiece of nature, dominated by the Rock Islands, a UNESCO World Heritage site of over 400 mushroom-shaped limestone islets. The rugged coasts, with their dramatic cliffs and pristine white-sand beaches, are surrounded by a massive, vibrant barrier reef. The waters are a paradise for divers and snorkelers, where you can swim with harmless, stingless jellyfish in the unique Jellyfish Lake and witness majestic manta rays at the German Channel. On land, the larger islands offer rewarding hikes through lush rainforests to stunning waterfalls, or to ancient stone monoliths and World War II relics, offering a perfect balance of aquatic and terrestrial adventure.

What to Expect: Micronesia to Palau
The Gateway to the Coral Triangle
The voyage from Micronesia to Palau is a 600-nautical-mile westward passage that serves as the ultimate bridge between the Central Pacific and the vibrant waters of Southeast Asia. You are sailing toward the edge of the Coral Triangle, where the biodiversity of the ocean reaches its peak. This is a journey defined by deep-blue offshore sailing and an arrival into one of the world’s "Seven Underwater Wonders."
Life on Board
The Daily Rhythm
Who is this for?
The Art of the Passage: This 4-to-5 day journey offers a classic blue-water experience. As an active crew member, you’ll be involved in the technical rhythm of a long-range yacht: monitoring weather files, perfecting sail trim for the steady North Pacific trades, and standing watch as we cross some of the deepest oceanic trenches on Earth.
Hands-On Seamanship: Under the mentorship of our professional skipper, you’ll gain confidence in offshore navigation. You aren't just a passenger; you are part of the team managing a 70ft expedition vessel as it traverses the vast Philippine Sea.
Ocean Solitude: There is a profound peace in the middle of this leg. With no land in sight for days, the focus shifts to the small details—the flight of a booby bird, the spray of a distant whale, and the incredible clarity of the night sky, free from any light pollution.
The Deep Blue: The passage is a time for "ship-life"—shared meals in the cockpit, storytelling during the sunset watch, and the meditative focus of steering the yacht toward the sunset.
The Arrival (Palau): Approaching Palau is a visual feast. The horizon changes from flat blue to the dramatic, emerald "mushroom" islands that characterize the archipelago. Navigating the intricate reef systems of the German Channel to reach our anchorage is a highlight of the trip.
The Final Reward: Once in Palau, the "sailing" transitions into "exploration." You’ll have the chance to witness the world-famous Rock Islands, snorkel in the surreal Jellyfish Lake, and explore some of the most protected marine sanctuaries in the world.
This leg is for the ocean-lover and the aspiring navigator. It is the perfect length for those wanting to transition from coastal cruising to true offshore passage-making. If you are looking for a trip that combines the mental reset of a deep-sea crossing with a world-class "bucket list" destination arrival, the Micronesia-Palau leg is your perfect match.
