Helm in open water under varying sail plans
Participate in navigation and weather routing
Experience landfall after a true offshore passage
Build meaningful offshore miles

The Route
Departure from Sydney Harbour.
We track east-north-east, adjusting for forecast systems, crossing deep Tasman water before approaching the Hauraki Gulf and making landfall in Auckland.
April is a considered seasonal window — outside cyclone season, yet still delivering favourable crossing patterns.
Passage duration: approximately 12–14 days depending on conditions.
Ocean sailing operates on weather, not on fixed arrival times. Flexibility is part of the discipline.
Safety & Preparation
Before departure, all crew receive:
Full safety briefing
Watch system induction
Man overboard procedures
Personal equipment guidance
Offshore preparation notes
The objective is calm, methodical seamanship — not theatrics.
We prioritise conservative decision-making and structured watchkeeping throughout.
